Dr Nely Shrestha Khatri

Dr. Nely Shrestha Khatri is a Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) trained Consultant Endocrinologist, who completed her medical degree (MBBS) in 2003 from Institute of Medicine, Kathmandu Nepal. She underwent fellowship training in Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, Fiona Stanley Hospital and King Edward Memorial Hospital for Women, in Western Australia. Dr. Nely has also completed Obstetric Medicine Training Certificate from the Society of Obstetric Medicine of Australia and New Zealand (SOMANZ).

She has public appointments at King Edward Memorial Hospital for Women and commencing sessional consultant endocrinologist position at Royal Perth Hospital. She has private practice at Hollywood Medical Centre and KEOGH Institute for Medical Research in Nedlands and at Rockingham Specialist Centre in Rockingham. A passionate doctor, she enjoys all aspects of endocrinology including calcium and bone disorders, pituitary, thyroid and adrenal disorders, with special interest in women’s reproductive health, polycystic ovarian syndrome, endocrine causes of infertility, menopause and endocrine disorders of pregnancy including Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes in pregnancy, gestational diabetes and thyroid and hypertensive disorders in pregnancy. A published author, with several publications as first author she recently completed her research on “Impact of aspirin upon foetal growth and preeclampsia in pregnancies with Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes”.
